Fiba Study Centre
The FIBA Research & Study Centre was founded to help equip and increase the number of sports facilities throughout the world, encourage the construction of basic facilities and the refurbishment of older ones, co-ordinate research initiatives and offer consulting services for materials, equipment design and construction.
The partners of the Study Centre, whose products are approved by FIBA, provide the sport equipment in the following categories: Backboard Support Units Wooden Floorings Synthetic Floorings Electronic Scoreboards Electric and Electronic System Miscellaneous Products Basketballs.

DIN
La Norma DIN 18032.2 è la norma che prevede la tipologia costruttiva dei pavimenti sportivi. Introdotta da diversi anni in Germania, è stata estesa alla normativa europea per le pavimentazioni sportive.
La Norma DIN 18032 punto 2 progetto 02/96 (Stato della Tecnica: decisione della Commissione CEN TC 217/WG2 = DIN 18032 Teil 2 pubblicata con comunicato DIN 10/95) prevede che l'elasticità e la deformazione stantard Stv (Standardverformung) siano costanti in ogni punto del pavimento sportivo.
Questa norma, approvata nella bozza febbraio 1996, è entrata in vigore dopo due anni. Pertanto dal febbraio 1998 i pavimenti sportivi secondo Norma DIN devono essere certificati con la nuova norma.

IAKS
The International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) is a non-profit organization operating in the field of sports and leisure facilities. It was founded in Cologne, Germany in 1965.
The IAKS's task is to collect, evaluate and disseminate information on the design, construction, equipping and maintenance of facilities for sport, games and recreation. The IAKS contributes to the creation of functional, cost-effective and environment-friendly sports and leisure facilities and at the same time supports the citizen's right to demand-driven and functional sports facilities.
In its activities promoting sports facilities, the IAKS is an organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and cooperates with the following institutions: International Paralympic Committee (IPC);General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF); International Council for Sports Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE); International Union of Architects (UIA), Sports and Leisure Programme; It cultivates contacts with numerous international sports associations and National Olympic Committees.
The IAKS already has some 1,000 members in a current 110 countries. These members benefit from the IAKS's international outlook, the worldwide exchange of experience and the many services provided by the association.
